Double loop bale ties are used in the recycling industry to tie bales of cardboard, plastic, and other compressible materials.
Superior quality products
As one of North America's premier tie wire producers, Baling Wire Direct is devoted to providing customers with superior products. We manufacture our baler wire under the highest industry standards to ensure optimal performance.
Our engineering focus is unmatched, and we thoroughly test all products to guarantee that they meet and exceed expectations. Any wire that doesn’t pass strict product assessments is removed, so only the most reliable tie wire reaches our customers.
By carefully overseeing production and distribution, we deliver quality steel wire, while ensuring competitive pricing, and exceptional customer service. Our Autoship™ system offers live shipment tracking and quick delivery in 1–3 business days for a seamless purchasing experience.
100% American baler wire
Our wire production process involves meticulous quality control from start to finish. It begins with raw steel wire rods purchased from American mills. Metallurgical traceability documents guarantee the chemical composition needed to ensure load capacity and tensile strength specifications are precise.
Over 120 trained staff and 5 on-site engineers then subject the steel wire to a mechanical descaling process. Descaling eliminates the use of harsh chemicals to further improve quality and reduce environmental impact.
Next, the baling wire enters a bull-block drawing machine to undergo incremental diameter reductions. Our machine closely monitors temperature and internal grain structure to optimize consistency. The wire is then rapidly air-cooled to produce a uniform microstructure and maximize tensile strength.
Once drawn and treated, the wire is cut and formed into bale ties. Single loop ties are cut and bent to include one loop, while double loop ties are cut with a loop at both ends. These can be used in manual balers and other hand-tie baling applications.
Bright bale ties versus galvanized bale ties
Our wire ties come with either a bright finish or a galvanized finish. Both are used to bale materials, but their finish gives them different advantages.
Galvanized double loop ties are better when:
- The baled material is corrosive
- Bales will be stored in contact with the elements
Raw steel ties, or bright-finishwire ties, are uncoated. They are best when:
- The bales might expand (bright bale ties have more elasticity than galvanized)
- Bales are being used in a retail setting, requiring a slightly nicer appearance
- Bales are stored away from the elements
- Budget is a priority
The specific requirements of the different baling applications will dictate whether galvanized or bright bale ties are the best option. The material being baled, environmental conditions, and need for corrosion resistance should all be considered.
Other wire products we sell
We offer a wide range of additional products beyond double loop bale ties. Other wire products we sell include galvanized wire, black annealed wire, single loop bale ties, and more.
